About The Founder

Libby is a UK based physiotherapist with a background in clinical practice and research.  Through her work within the cardiomyopathy community, she has built a reputation for bringing together leading voices in cardiomyopathy for conversations that are credible and deeply human.

Libby’s professional journey has been shaped by her lived experience of cardiomyopathy within her own family — a perspective that continues to inform her commitment to bridging the gap between academic innovation and real-world understanding. She has collaborated with world-renowned clinicians and researchers, creating platforms that elevate patient voices while maintaining scientific integrity.

As the founder of Understanding Cardiomyopathy CIC and host of the Cardiomyopathy Conversations podcast, Libby will champion a new model of health communication — one that is globally connected, intellectually rigorous, and warmly accessible. Her work will focus on building meaningful dialogue across borders, supporting clinicians in communicating complex ideas with clarity, and helping patients feel confident navigating an evolving cardiovascular landscape.

Driven by a belief that knowledge should travel freely and compassionately, Libby’s vision is to place understanding at the centre of cardiomyopathy care — creating spaces where expertise and lived experience meet as equals on a truly international stage.
